SPEAKER BIOGRAPHY

Daniel E. Jenkins, PE, is a Senior Transportation Specialist in the Federal Highway Administration’s Office of Highway Policy Information. In October 2017, he became the program manager for the national travel behavior data program, to include the National Household Travel Survey. Prior to becoming the travel behavior data program manager, he was responsible for management of the office’s traffic volume data program. He is currently a member of the TRB’s Standing Committee on Urban Transportation Data and Information Systems (AED 20), and is a member of TRB’s Standing Committee on Travel Survey Methods (AEP 25).

Before joining the Office of Highway Policy Information in 2010, Danny worked in the FHWA Virginia Division Office for nine years. Prior to joining FHWA in 2001, Danny worked for Defense Department organizations in southeastern Virginia for over 14 years.

Danny is a licensed Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Virginia and has a BSCE degree from the University of Virginia.
