PRESENTATION DESCRIPTION
Dr. Jagannath Mallela is a Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Research and Innovation Solutions at WSP. He is a recognized national and international thought leader in BIM for Infrastructure, digital delivery, and asset and maintenance management. Dr. Mallela served as a lead author on several important direction-setting documents in the US related to BIM including the Federal Highway Administration’s National Strategic Roadmap for BIM for Infrastructure and the BIM for Infrastructure Global Benchmarking Study report which highlighted the importance of and techniques for integration of lifecycle data for better outcomes. Through his work on large national innovation programs in the US with the FHWA and AASHTO, Dr. Mallela helped mainstream BIM-enabling technologies such as 3D Engineered Modeling, e-Construction and Digital As-Builting. Dr. Mallela currently serves on the National Institute of Building Sciences’ US BIM Steering Committee and the Transportation Research Board’s Geospatial Data Acquisition Technologies and the Performance Management Standing Committees.
