Short Bio - Written:
Ben Worel is the MnROAD Operations Engineer for the Minnesota Department of Transportation for the last 25 years. His efforts focus on the day-to-day operations of MnROAD, development of research projects and oversight along with supporting partnerships including working with a number of different states, universities, and companies highlighted with major studies with NCAT and the National Road Research Alliance (NRRA) which includes 13 government agencies and over 80+ associate members. Currently the co-chair of TRB AKG30 - Geo-Environmental and Climatic Impacts on Geomaterials and is the Executive Director of NRRA.

Presentation Description/Paper Summary

Gravel Road Management Tool is developed by the Minnesota Local Road Research Board. It is designed to be a data management resource for county engineering offices to better track and manage gravel roads. This spreadsheet can be used to track costs and optimize spending. The tool was developed to be flexible and customizable for a variety of purposes and system sizes. Default values are included in the drop-down selections in the various columns. However, users have the ability to change the options as needed in the red tab "Agency Dropdown Customization"
