SPEAKER BIOGRAPHY
Rob Dingess is President of Mercer Strategic Alliance, a consulting firm with clients focused on improving the quality of road safety products and materials. Since 2014, Rob works with the automotive industry to develop policy recommendations designed to improve the quality and effectiveness of road markings in support of machine vision systems.
Before forming Mercer Strategic Alliance in 2005, Rob was Director of Government Relations for the American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA) for nine years and was responsible for developing ATSSA's government affairs program in support of federal road safety policy. He played a key role in ATSSA's efforts to promote structural reforms to federal road safety infrastructure programs culminating in the enactment of the Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) in 2005.
Prior to joining ATSSA, Rob worked for three years on Capitol Hill, ultimately working for Representative Ed Royce (CA) prior to his departure for ATSSA. Rob earned a MA in Transportation Policy, Operations and Logistics from George Mason University and a BA in Political Science from Brigham Young University.
