USDOT’s CDA Traffic Use Cases (UCs): Highway and Arterial Mobility Applications
Date and Time: Wednesday, July 20: 1:30 PM - 5:00 PM
Location: Royal AB

Racha Sujith
Cooperative Driving Automation (CDA) Research Program ITS Manager, Leidos, Inc.
PRESENTATION DESCRIPTION
The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) under USDOT conducts research on cooperative driving automation (CDA) with the goal of advancing transportation systems management and operations (TSMO) strategies. The CDA Program, a network of open source software (the CARMA Ecosystem) and support services focused on enhancing digital infrastructure, enables testing and evaluation of emerging CDA capabilities. This presentation will provide an overview of CDA use cases developed under the USDOT's CDA program. Two specific TSMO use cases will be discussed in details in this presentation: one for traffic management at signalized intersections, and one for highway traffic management.
