SPEAKER BIOGRAPHY

Mr. Beckstrand has been working with geotechnical asset inventory and evaluation systems for over a decade. He has played key technical and leadership roles in the development and implementation of hazard evaluations and geotechnical asset management programs for the transportation departments of Alaska, Montana, Missouri, Tennessee, and Idaho, as well as private infrastructure owners.

Mr. Beckstrand has been an active participant in professional organizations, serving as the Oregon Section Chair and on the National Board of Directors for the Association of Engineering and Environmental Geologists in 2014. Mr. Beckstrand has prepared dozens of presentations, abstracts, and papers within his field of engineering geology for professional meetings. He is a registered engineering geologist in Oregon and Washington, and a professional geologist in Idaho, Alaska, and Wyoming.
