SPEAKER BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Scott Anderson is one of the founding Co-Chairs of the TRB Section Subcommittee on Geotechnical Asset Management as well being a member and friend of several other TRB committees, and he has been an author, Pricipal Investigator, and FHWA liaison to several related NCHRP projects. He has 40 years of experience and is currently a Pricipal Engineer at BGC Engineering, where he specializes in helping clients use new technologies and established approaches to making well-informed risk-based decisions for new and existing infrastructure. He was formerly the Geotechnical Services Leader for the FHWA Resource Center, the FHWA Federal Lands Geotechnical Discipline Leader, a Senior Consultant at what is now AECOM, and an Assistant Professor at the University of Hawaii. He has a Masters Degree in Geology from Colorado State University and a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley.
