SPEAKER BIOGRAPHY
Katie is the Founder and Executive Vice President of Applied Pavement Technology, Inc., a specialty civil engineering firm. Katie has a long history working with the asset management community over her career, serving in a leadership role on many projects to improve the use of data and analysis tools for managing highway assets.
Her work has included: • The development of several state DOT Transportation Asset Management Plans (TAMPs), • The advancement of Transportation Asset Management (TAM) implementation through the development of Strategic Implementation Plans, • The development and conduct of TAM training and guidance documents for FHWA, and • Contributions to research efforts, like the TAM Guide Update, that have advanced TAM practices, and
Katie is a licensed engineer and a graduate of the University of Illinois, where she received both her Bachelor and Masters’ degrees in Civil Engineering
