SPEAKER BIOGRAPHY
Mr. Groeger is a practice lead at Transconomy for transportation asset management. With 34 years of experience in asset management consulting, Mr. Groeger has served as Program Manager and Project Manager on numerous national, State DOT, and local agency asset management projects. His experience includes leading teams to develop federally mandated Transportation Asset Management Plans (TAMP), as well as to develop and implement processes and tools to support TAM development, implementation, and improvement.
Mr. Groeger is in charge of all operations for Transconomy. Transconomy is in the business of creating transportation asset inventories using AI technology. This yields an economical, faster, and more accurate survey than manual surveys and most other automated methods. Through this product, complete surveys of a county or other jurisdiction can be completed in weeks instead of months. He runs all facets of the business from sales to technology decisions, to project management of the survey projects.
He was previously the Chair of TRB Committee AKP10, Pavement Condition Evaluation, and a member of the TRB Pavement Executive Committee (AKP00). He is currently on the TRB Transportation Research Record Editorial Board in the area of Asset Management.
