SPEAKER BIOGRAPHY

Joseph M. Sanchez joined Antelope Valley Transit Authority in May, 2022. As a Fleet Analyst for the country’s first all-electric battery fleet, he measures vehicle performance to inform Maintenance, Operations, and the Board of Directors for daily services. He serves as an instrumental voice for data in regard to Transit Asset Management (TAM), procurement, planning, and to the CEO for policy and procedure making.

Prior to embarking on his transit career, Joseph studied at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he studied English Literature with a focus in Environmental Systems and Society. The latter area of study has complemented his transition from 16 years in Hospitality Management to Public Transportation as his drive, commitment to the public, and curiosity for sustainability and planning have enabled him with the tools necessary to succeed in a nascent field of transit technology.
