SPEAKER BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Simon Lewis is the North American Transportation Asset Management (AM) lead for AECOM. In this position, he acts as an international coordinator and AM best practice resource across AECOM transportation projects. He also co-chairs AECOM’s international transportation AM Coordinating Committee. A career focus has been on modeling transportation data and the development of transportation application software. He has led over 150 workshops in AM, information systems, GIS-T, and maintenance management system best practices, including being an instructor for such for FHWA over a 10-year period. He developed the 4-Pillars AM approach originally under a FHWA contract and has continued to develop and refine it over a 25-year period, with projects from small town and cities, state DOT’s through to use for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Ministry of Transportation. He was formerly founder and President of GIS/Trans, Ltd, as well as the Product Manager for three different asset management software products.
