SPEAKER BIOGRAPHY
Mr. Moore is a 1985 graduate of Western Kentucky University with a degree in Civil Engineering Technology and was employed within the Division of Planning and Traffic at the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, District Three Office in Bowling Green, Kentucky from May, 1985 until his retirement in 2016. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP). Since 2004, Mr. Moore has been active with the Transportation Research Board and served on multiple committees on Planning for Small and Medium Sized Communities, Environmental Justice, Community Impact Assessment, and is currently the chair of the Committee on Public Engagement and Communications. Though his home is physically in Bowling Green, Kentucky, Mr. Moore’s planning work has led him to consider the citizens across the state with whom he works as his neighbors. Having entered the private sector with Michael Baker International which serves a much broader geography, he tries to treat each community as if they were located in his own backyard.
