TRB Conference on Rural and Tribal Transportation

The TRB Conference on Rural and Tribal Transportation will be held July 19 – 21, 2027 in Westminster, CO (near Denver). This conference brings together representatives from federal, state, and local transportation agencies, Tribal agencies, rural and metropolitan planning organizations, public transit agencies, academia, and private industry to explore the evolving opportunities and challenges shaping mobility and infrastructure in rural and Tribal communities. Rural and Tribal areas continue to face unique challenges related to infrastructure maintenance, access to essential services, safety, and workforce capacity, among others.

This two-and-a-half-day conference will serve as a collaborative forum for participants to share and discuss research, emerging needs, implementation needs, and actionable solutions that strengthen rural and Tribal transportation systems and the communities they serve.
