National Center for Asphalt Technology (NCAT) Track, and Auburn Advanced Structural Engineering Laboratory Tour National Center for Asphalt Technology NCAT's Research Center and Test Track is one of the world's leading institutions for asphalt pavement research. NCAT is fully equipped with the latest laboratory and field testing equipment for:
- Pavement engineering and forensic analysis
Attendees will have the chance to explore the 1.7-mile track, where 200-foot test sections funded by highway agencies and industry sponsors provide real-world data. Auburn University Advanced Structural Engineering Lab The Advanced Structural Engineering Laboratory (ASEL) at Auburn University is a 45,000 square-foot state-of-the-art facility for experimental characterization and performance testing of:
- Structural components and systems
- Integrated soil-structure systems.
The tour will include several demonstrations of ASELs testing capabilities including: the Vulcan High Bay Laboratory, Structural Concrete Testing Laboratory, and a demonstration of the high strain rate universal testing machine for blast research. |
