Session Description
Transportation practitioners have the ability and responsibility to advance equity throughout the transportation decision-making process, starting with transportation planning and programming. This includes determining and communicating equity priorities through meaningful public involvement and data-driven analysis, measuring equity impacts, and considering those impacts throughout all stages of the transportation planning process. This workshop focuses on ways to advance equity in the transportation planning process through policies, programs, and plans that explicitly seek to address priorities and the development of a systemic approach to implement them.
