Biography
Sahar Nabaee is a senior transportation engineering professional with experience in both the public and private sectors. She recently joined VHB as Senior Mobility Manager with the Federal Market Team. Formerly, Sahar served as the Deputy Associate Director for the Traffic Engineering and Safety Division at the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) and was responsible for delivering quick-build multimodal transportation projects. In this role, Sahar oversaw three engineering branches (Traffic Engineering, Traffic Safety, and Design and Construction), with her primary focus on the Traffic Safety Branch, where she managed high-profile safety programs for DDOT. Prior to DDOT, Sahar worked as a transportation engineering consultant, serving clients across the DMV area and the Mid-Atlantic Region. Sahar is a licensed Professional Engineer with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Sharif University of Technology, and two master’s degrees in transportation engineering and operations research, from Oregon State University and University of Maryland, College Park.
