Bio: Amirreza Nickkar is a PhD Student in the Department of Transportation and Urban Infrastructure Systems at the Morgan State University. He received his master degree (2012) in Transportation Planning. His research interests are in automated public transit and operations, Intelligent Transportation Systems applications, and automated transit operational impacts. His research goals are to 1) better understand the fundamental nature of automated transit systems, experimentation and the application of operational research methods, 2) examine the economical and operational impact of automated transit systems, and 3) apply the knowledge in providing optimal automated transit strategies through applications of ITS.
