Day 2: Technical Session (C2) - Mom and Her Munchkins on the Move
Date: 9/12/2019
Time: 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM
Location: Newport
Session Description:
Health and safety issues arise for mothers with children in tow using transportation. These issues vary widely based on culture and place. Traveling with children limit accessibility and mobility options for many mothers. Trips to work, to the store, to school, to medical appointments, or during emergency evacuations all have challenges and risks for mothers than other users of transportations. How are communities and transportation agencies using travel behavior of mothers to provide them a better and safer service?
